Different Types of Freight

Intermodal Freight

Intermodal freighting is essentially the use of multiple modes of freight to transport goods from one point to another. These modes of freight include sea, rail, air and road.
Expedited Freight:
Expedited freight, also known as hotshot services, allow for different types of freight to be moved at a high speed. It is the only method for transporting time-sensitive loads or packages across land. All expedited freight is handled exclusively by one carrier and is under contract to meet your specific delivery deadline. It will however cost more than regular freight.

LTL Freight

‘Less than truckload’ or ‘less than load’ (LTL) freight is one of the most popular forms of freight shipping because it is an extremely cost-effective, reliable, and timely service. It is a more economical approach as LTL freight specializes in transporting smaller items from various transportation hubs together so that businesses do not have to pay for the cost of using the entire truckload.

Air Freight

Air freight is the fastest shipping option for your cargo. Air freight carriers are dedicated to handling the logistics for transporting smaller packages. Even though it is the most expensive option, it is the best way to ship time sensitive and urgent shipments.

Ocean Freight

Ocean freight is the most cost-effective option used to ship cargo around the globe. Freight that is shipped by boat offers a selection of transit time options, as well as options to ship by full container load (FCL) or less than container load (LCL).
